And the RED SOX WIN!

Yay for the Red Sox!
So....this last week Darrin was out of town for a conference IN BOSTON! He spent most of his time like this:

But there was also a big Red Sox party going on in the same hotel:

And he went over and hung out at Fenway before game 2. Too bad he couldn't get a ticket and go in!

He also got to eat out at some great restaurants:

Including having dinner with a friend from high school:

And yesterday he took a tour of Fenway Park (much cheaper to go in when there's no game going on!) Pictures from that will have to come later, as Blogger is giving me fits about uploading photos right now.

And me? I got to spend the week juggling lots of different things as a single parent and dealing with cranky, uncooperative children. I'm not the least bit jealous, no siree-bob! (And if you believe that....)

Make that 3-0!

So now the Red Sox are up by 3. Darrin couldn't be happier, especially since he just spent the last 5 days in BOSTON! He went down to Fenway Thursday night just to hang out and feel the excitement of being there during the world series. This morning he took a tour of Fenway before flying home. As soon as he downloads his pictures, I'll put some up.
This week has been rough for me. I don't think I'm cut out to be a single parent. But I *am* relieved that my client didn't give birth this week!

Up by 2 and going strong!

Don't you know, it's the time of year

when witches

and ghosts

appear?
Well, it's October and we took our annual trip to Gardner Village to see the witches and buy overpriced fudge. We had a good time.

We decorated our house for Halloween (the ghost above is Callie & Brynn's creativity personified, or is it "ghost-ified"?)

I've had a busy month with 2 births, both difficult situations that needed lots of extra support. I've got 2 scheduled for November, too!
We got to see my brother Matt & his daughter Becky when they were briefly in town.

Kyra was thrilled to have someone close to her age at a family gathering. It's tough being the oldest cousin!
Brynn got to bring home the "Press Badge" from kindergarten, which means she can bring in a current event. She took her badge with us to show to Grandma & Grandpa when we went there for dinner, and Dennis showed her HIS real press badge!

This morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow. I didn't think it would last until after church, but just enough of it did for Brynn to make a snowman all by herself:

And finally, can you guess which member of the family made this snow angel? Winner gets a picture colored by Brynn sent in the mail!

Happy Birthday Katie!

You now share your birthday with a little girl born this evening at 8:30. She's adorably cute, but you are far more beautiful!

Wednesday Wierdness

Just because it is Wednesday, I am wierd, and I can!
Here are a bunch of exercise machines I will NEVER have. They're all from that silly catalog of stuff that is on every airplane. (Does anyone ever actually BUY that stuff, or is it just to provide something for airline passengers to make fun of?)

Some kind of wacky medieval torture machine. But hey! It MUST be fun, it's painted in primary colors!
For all those times you watched TV just hoping, wishing, and praying that someday you could be riding a fake bull while you watch:

With this one, you hold on to the handles and wag your butt and legs from side to side. You'll note it is called the "Love Handler":

That will be all.
