Yeah PATRIOTS!
Tonight we had a little family Patriots Pizza Party.
The kids decorated (using decorations originally made for the Super Bowl a few years back)
And we all (exept for Callie) wore one of Darrin's Patriots T-shirts. (And there were still a few left in his dresser drawers. It's an addiction, I think.)
Brynn was fascinated by some fans holding up a big "D" and a fence. We had to explain to her what "defense" was in football, and she was boggled by the concept. And she made her own signs to hold, but was mostly clueless about which order the "D" and the "fence" were supposed to be.
And the Patriots won, which made for a happy day around here!
In other news, Callie competed in the school geography bee this year. She did pretty well, I suppose you could say she came in third. They had whittled the group down from about 20 contestants to 8. They were asking questions and having the kids write down their answers so everyone was answering the same question all at once. Six contestants, including Callie, were eliminated in a single question. The two who were left placed 1st and 2nd. Don't know if there was an official third place - a 6 way tie seems like too much.
Brynn went to a sledding party this morning for a kindergarten friend and had a blast. She's by far the bravest of our three girls, which isn't saying much. But I'm thinking maybe she'll actually be willing to learn to ride a bike, something we've never managed to get the older two to agree to even try!
Kyra's busy with rehearsals for two different school plays and trying to keep up with homework. Darrin & I are just trying to keep up with our various jobs & businesses, as well as household stuff. I am ready for winter to be OVER and for Spring to come!
